Russian Original Ballet Theatre (ROBT)
With generous participation by Yoko Watanabe, a director and primary choreographer of the ROBT
,the ROBT presented two original full-length ballet performances, "Blue Legend" and "Marimo".
These productions are known for incorporating strong elements of Russian or Japanese folk culture and
dance, resulting in a dramatic departure from classical ballet.
The ROBT also performed "Gopak", a traditional Ukranian folk dance. The dancers were highly skilled in traditional Ukranian folk dance movements. This perfect
technical performance brought us exciting moments.
In collaboration with artists from the Moiseyev Ballet in Moscow, Ms. Watanabe established the ROBT in 1996 with approximately 30 dancers. The ROBT has performed in Russia, Ukraine and Japan at a number of fund-raising events, including an event to raise funds for victims of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. Their performances have fostered cultural interchange between Japan and the former Soviet Union. In the last three years, ROBT has taken six performance tours of Japan in addition to performing in Ukraine.
Seaon Stylist
Seaon Bristol is an internationally recognized Mambo/Salsa dancer. Seaon was born and raised in the Country of
Georgetown Guyana. At the age of fourteen, Seaon immigrated to New York City where he received heavy technical training, and
understanding on dancing on 2 at the Razz M' Tazz Dance Company. After being a Razz M' Tazz Dance instructor for about 2 years,
Seaon again decided that he wanted more. He had always heard of Mr. Eddie Torres, but nothing he heard, could have
compared to what was in store for him. After attending his first Eddie Torres class, Seaon immediately knew that
his dancing would take off. He studied with Mr. Torres for approximately 1 year, and has been a featured dancer in the classic and
dynamic routine "Mon-Ti".
Now residing in California, Seaon's planes are very simple. He has already taken his ballet, jazz and modern training
and incorporated it into his interpretation of salsa. What he now knows, he intends to share with fellow dancers and
instructors of different styles. Seaon is very open with his style and knowledge of his material, and expresses them both
when Leading and Following. He is one of the very first instructors to have taken the Follower's role to such an extreme, and
loves every minutes of it. With persistence and determination, Seaon is already on his way to making a mark in todays' Mambo/Salsa
Industry!

Japanese dance instructor opened our 2007 event with "KOTOBUKI MANZAI" one of the famous Nishikawa-ryu style dance pieces.
Shabnam
Award-winning belly dancer, Shabnam will present a belly dance fusion piece performed to modern Middle-Eastern music. A predominantly self-taught dancer, her technique
